Nobember 2011 Meetign

Hey Everybody,

Our next event will be a SJ Chapter meeting at Three Flames Restaurant in San Jose. This meeting will have a free dinner and the topic is California's Green Vision for Sustainability. I repeat FREE Dinner at Three Flames! The event will be on November 9th at 5:30pm. This meeting is student night, which means the students are encouraged to attend. The speaker will be Mary Tucker from the City of San Jose.

Please see the flyer below. This will be a great networking event for our project. Students from Cal Poly will be attending as well.

Please let me know if you can attend, because I need to get a list together so that they know how many students to sponsor.

Hello and welcome to the 2011-2012 ASHRAE blogspot. My name is Jason Lykam and I am the new 2011-2012 San Jose State University ASHRAE Club President. I am a senior Mechanical Engineering undergrad with an emphasis in thermal fluids. This year is full of exciting events and competitions that are not only fun and educational, but expose students to networking with professionals that can potentially lead to a career in the HVAC&R industry. I have been involved in ASHRAE for less than a year, and have already accepted an internship opportunity at Trane as a sales engineer intern. In fact, this is a common experience for ASHRAE officers and members. The equation is simple: Get involved in ASHRAE = Find a career in an ever expanding and exciting HVAC&R industry. I encourage all interested students to attend our meetings and events, become a member of our club, and then see how ASHRAE can change your life. Don’t let opportunities like this slip by!

Hello! My name is Veronica Sandoval and I am your new VP of the SJSU Ashrae club on campus. I have worked as a mechanical designer for an MEP firm for 6 years and bring a unique background to the club. Ashrae is a club that promotes networking and learning about Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning field. My goal for the club is to see growth in the HVAC discipline and more ME students getting involved in this exciting industry. One direct way that we are trying to get SJSU on the map is through the 2012 Ashrae Design completion in which all four of our officers are a part of that design team! We are also looking forward to going to the Ashrae Conference in Chicago, IL in January. We have an inspiring year ahead of us, so come out and see how Ashrae and jump start your HVAC career!

Hi! My name is Ruben Hernandez and I am your new Treasurer of Ashrae at SJSU. I am very eager to show you how Ashrae can benefit your future career. If you are interested in networking, learning more about the HVAC industry or just looking for internship opportunities, I encourage you to join ASHRAE and attend the local meetings on campus as well as the San Jose Chapter meetings. This year all of the officers will be competing in the 2012 Ashrae student design competition.
